We heal through connection

We heal through connection.

We all have moments of deep pain from experiences throughout our lives. We can feel alone. Disconnected from others. Wondering, “why me?”

No matter how lonely we may feel in a moment, we are not alone in the world.

The whole of each one of us is a layer of the whole of each of us.

We are bound together by human capacity to feel.

To create.

To know we exist.

Our pain is not unique, but we need another person to hear it.

“Trauma is not what happens to us, but what we hold inside in the absence of an empathetic witness," says Dr. Peter A. Levine.

An empathic witness listens, reflects, and validates the emotions of others.

We can heal through connection; loving ourselves and others with infinite compassion.

When we heal our inner disconnection we may find our actions in the world are more connected too.

How might YOU invite healing by serving as an empathic witness to yourself or others today?
