Fear is Loud Right Now - How Will You Respond?

“I want to speak up. But I struggle with explaining my human values, especially right now when there's so much harsh power moving in the world. I know what I believe but sometimes I don't know what to say."

Can you relate to this struggle?

Fear-based leadership is emboldened—while empathy and compassion are attacked as weak and dangerous, even though these superpowers are the glue of civil society.

You know that such threatening ways of operating aren't just bad for people. They are bad for organizations and communities too. You see people shaken and trust crumbling, engagement and results slipping.

I bet you are working to embody love and humanity every chance you get. And you are probably at the ready to speak up to protect your team, to influence your organization, and to support new leaders to lead with heart too.

What I know is this: To take such a stand and speak up is gutsy. It can take experience, and the confidence that comes from clarity. This means being clear about not only what you believe but having the authentic words, stories and logic to explain yourself. To make the case for love with your words in your way.

About a decade ago, I navigated my way through this process. It took several years. But once I got through that process, I OWNED this clarity and wow, has that been empowering!

Now, any time I need to, I can share, mentor, advocate, or take a stand with calm strength.

Right now, it is imperative that we are all confident and bold in standing up for love each in our own way. It will look differently for each of us, but whatever it means for us, we need to bring it to our sphere of influence now.

I want to encourage you, if you haven't already, to decide what love and humanity mean to you, and how you will show up and lead with love. Whether you have an official position of leadership or not, you can lead with love. Then keep doing that your way. Relentlessly. Persistently. Confidently!

Because being on the side of love has never been the wrong side of history!

Would you like a simple process to gain that clarity, to find your words, stories and unique way of standing for love?

I’ve taken the steps I went through, the questions and challenges, and boiled them down into a simple, straightforward process called, “Lead with Love: A 12-Week Foundation Series."

Step by step, you’ll be guided to gain your own clarity and confidence about making work more loving and human in your organization, on your team your way. This is not about memorizing words so you can parrot my ideas! I don’t believe in that.

Instead, this process helps you to define what love in the workplace means for yourself. It guides you to link your beliefs to your lived experiences and stories. It prompts you to listen to those around you, colleagues, friends and family, so your empathy anchors your beliefs even deeper. And it helps you learn practices so you can show up ready to speak and lead with love from a foundation of strength.

Lead with Love: A 12-Week Foundation Series is my heartfelt invitation to you to find your confidence and clarity to meet this moment and be part of the solution the world needs.

Check out the details below and then join me and other leaders like you who have said, “Yes!” to Lead with Love.
