Joanne Can Help You Transform Your Organization

Each of us has a story. Joanne makes a purposeful effort to learn each person’s story. A natural collaborator, she knows the value of both sharing and hearing experiences. She listens fully: gives space, checks in, follows up, and asks questions. That’s one reason she succeeds at delivering top notch leadership and workforce development programs. People feel heard, respected, and safe when Joanne’s in the room. She celebrates diverse backgrounds and ways of thinking while also appreciating the countless ways humans are similar and connected. Joanne offers organizations a wide range of development programs, from one-on-one consultations and leadership training to team seminars and large-scale workshops. Her personalized approach combined with her experience and expertise make her uniquely capable of supporting others in their learning. Connect with Joanne to plan, design, and deliver new and exciting growth opportunities for your organization.

Joanne’s Story

Joanne moved from the Philippines as a teenager and started school in the US, so she knows what it feels like to be a learner facing new challenges. Back then, she relied on her family to teach her how to navigate a new culture and make connections. Today, Joanne has a master’s degree in Instructional Technology, more than 15 years of workforce development experience, and is a certified Master Trainer and certified E-Learning designer. Her early experiences now help her better empathize and connect with learners and have also inspired a deep personal commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. She currently serves as the Diversity and Inclusion Director for Seattle’s Society for Human Resource Management and Vice Chair for the Washington Immigrant Network Business Resource Group. Joanne lives with her husband and two daughters in Washington, where she enjoys reading books and going on adventures with her family, even just to the park. Amplifying the Voices of Diverse Leaders and Teams

By purposefully making spaces safe for people to speak up and be heard, organizations empower not just a few, but all people to bring their whole and best selves to work. Joanne knows how tough it can be to make your voice heard. She has often been the only person of color in a team or workgroup. This experience has given her insight into how organizations can set the stage for people to share and engage more deeply and productively, and has taught her how to inspire individuals to be vulnerable and courageous in these conversations. Let Joanne help you and your organization explore new ideas and engage around necessary topics like race, gender and sexuality, and cultural diversity. Each new conversation is an opportunity to expand, connect, and grow. Reach out to Joanne to find out how you can empower your organization and bring all your talent to the table.

“Joanne’s human-centric focus on coaching, teaching, and mentoring provides a path for honest and open discussion. I seek her input and opinion regularly to gain insight on how to approach situations. The sky is the limit when it comes to Joanne’s ability to succeed.”

— Larry Delgado, Learning and Development Administrator at Pierce Transit
