about Renée 

Renée leads with love as the founding director of Lean Transformation Services at the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services. Her team of consultants provides government to government coaching, facilitation, and training services. Their clients are state agencies and local governments who are learning to adapt Lean to government operations to deliver better value to customers and make public service a deeply gratifying experience.

Renée believes government can work, and the best hope for government to deliver on its promises is when leaders embrace Lean as a human-centered philosophy of work, not just a set of tools used by an improvement expert. This kind of Lean in government is a principled way of working that highly regards the humanity of both customers and team members. When leaders drive out fear, team members know they are loved, they belong, their contributions matter, and they deliver exceptional value.

Renée holds a Master’s Degree in Organization Development from Pepperdine University. Her clients have included public, private, and not-for-profit organizations working on many different challenges. When she's not exploring foreign cities, Renée lives wholeheartedly in Tacoma where she trains for half marathons, paints for therapy, and cooks for friends and family.
